For three weeks, no canoe has come out of the fen. There are no giant snails for the town’s tables, no swamp wine for its cups, and no word from the folk who trade them. Something out in the black water has found a taste for free food and strong drink, and it is still thirsty.

The Wine-Dark Fen is a swamp expedition for fifth edition, with a race against the clock built in: the slower the party, the less there is left to save. Five keyed areas bring exploration, a fight on the water, a negotiation with consequences, a natural hazard and a climactic battle, built to run in a single 2–3 hour session.
